Mr. Ronald Breedveld, who founded Coliglote with his wife, submitted the answers to the interview questionnaire. Coliglote is an app that will allow you to learn foreign languages alongside a native speaker. The user will both teach his own language and understand the foreign one from his counterpart.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

Facebook: To maintain cultural links.
Netflix: To learn languages by watching series.
Spotify for music.

How long have you been working on this app?

3 years.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Traditional language learning applications never take into consideration the need to practice with a real native speaker in order to achieve real language learning that is sustainable over time, relevant to the real needs of the learners, and authentic to the cultural exchange.

What I lacked in my personal language learning as a passionate person, I have created in order to share it with learners around the world.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

What differentiates Coligote from all other language applications (and what makes it so valuable) is the concept of skill sharing, where learners from all over the world can help each other learn and teach their languages.

It is not just a simple idea of learning through language correspondence, but it is much more complete, since Coliglote not only connects native speakers to help each other, but it is ALSO based on pedagogical and fun materials, in the form of language games.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

The goal is to enrich it even more in order to offer many more language games to the learners, but this while respecting the needs of the users.

I would therefore like to have a user feedback on the application, mentioning the strong points, the weak points, and the ways to improve it.

1- Test the application and make an honest opinion about its quality
