Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, of course, mostly server-side experience and web development.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The most challenging aspect of developing CallApp would surely be making the app work on different Android OS and phone vendors and also ensuring that it runs perfectly on all these variations too. CallApp has many features and abilities which require close interaction with Android APIs. Different OS versions and phones from different vendors do not always expose the same APIs, return the same results or allow the same operations to be executed.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

While CallApp is unsurprisingly my favorite app, I also really appreciate Spotify which helps me focus while working on developing CallApp. What I love about Spotify is that the app is simple, and the value is clear. Similar to CallApp, the app also creates a machine based customized experience without the user having to put in any work.

I’m also a fan of Waze, another great app with benefits similar to those of CallApp - offering an essential service with the goal of saving its users’ precious time with an element of community contribution.

How long have you been working on this app?

6.5 years and counting!

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

CallApp answers to the basic need of knowing who’s calling before answering. This simple, but crucial piece of information can have a life changing effect if one ignores or picks up the wrong call.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

CallApp is the world leader at identifying numbers, covering more numbers than any other Caller ID app. CallApp also provides the best call recording capabilities, allowing phone calls to be recorded and played on nearly any device. The app is also unique in that it includes an AI and machine learning layer that only continues to improve over time. This ensures the most advanced insights, as well as the right actions brought to the user’s attention at the right time.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We plan to improve and redesign the calling experience provided by CallApp, allowing for an even more customized experience. For the future, we also plan to expand our phone coverage even further, as well as improve our AI and machine learning capabilities taking our technology to the next level.
