Call2Car - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

No development experience, the Aberit Company (www.aberit.eu) helped us to create the first stable version of the application.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The most difficult aspect was to design the architecture to use the free Google servers, which translated into a significant reduction in the cost of maintaining the system.

The founder and originator of messenger for road users is Mr. Zbigniew Sobejko, the medical doctor by education with nearly 40 years of experience. Zbigniew draws inspiration from the needs of everyday life. In the 90s he began his adventure with the first ideas, some of them he patented. He has been working intensively on the 'Call2Car' vision for a year.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

How long have you been working on this app?

Three to four months have already passed since the implementation of the concept.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Almost every road user had situations where contact with the owner of another car was necessary but it was impossible or very difficult. The application responds to the needs of drivers by giving the possibility of direct anonymous communication. 'Call2Car' gives six types of ready to use messages in the style: "Could you please re-park your car?", "Your car is leaking", "The lights on your car are turned off", "I would like to buy your car", "Would you like to drink coffee?".

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Call2Car's mission is to build a community of responsible drivers through the awareness of the possibility of mutual assistance on the road through the anonymous and direct exchange of information which will definitely affect the driving culture.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

Voice calls. Automatic reading of registration numbers of cars in front and behind the users. Creating a system of automatic information about an accident for vehicles in the particular area (based on GPS).
