Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes. We are a web development startup, but this is our first mobile app project and we have learnt the respective technologies to get this app done.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

Customization of the app framework to suit our business requirements has been the biggest challenge. 'Bhimavaram Online' is not just an e-commerce app but a one stop destination for Online Shopping, Services, News, Movies, and more. So, modifying the app to suit our requirements has been our biggest challenge.

'MCR Web Solutions' is a startup software company that undertakes custom made software development for small to medium scale enterprises. 'MCR' also supports skill development in the form of internships, technology trainings, workshops for academic institutions and individuals to excel in their professional career.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

'Facebook': It's because of its ability to keep us updated about our friends, happenings, birthday reminders, events and more without much junk/spam alerts. 'Google Pay': The ease of using the app, rewards, flexibility and completeness (in terms of payment of bills, money transfer etc.).

How long have you been working on this app?

6 months.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Currently, most people use 'Flipkart', 'Amazon' and other major e-commerce portals for buying things they like. However, people prefer to buy certain things like Grocery & Daily Needs, Fruits & Vegetables, Meat, Restaurant Food, etc., locally rather than in large e-commerce giants. We want to target those local customers and cater their needs.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Our app is a local app specifically designed for the people of Bhimavaram, a small town of Andhra Pradesh. The town is also known as the Las Vegas of Andhra Pradesh due to the lavish lifestyle of certain people who love to spend any amount of money on things of their interest. Moreover, our app is not just for online shopping but has the ability to provide services, news, alerts, contests, advertisements, fun contests and much more which you don't find in any e-commerce apps.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We wish to make this app a must have to all the people of Bhimavaram and for those who love to know about the happenings of Bhimavaram. In future, we would like to extend the app to include more features like scratch card offers, local travel booking, home made food ordering, fun contests, online games etc., to keep the community engaged and find it useful.
