Yes, we have developed many projects on PC and mobile devices since 1999.
The main challenge was creating an OpenGl rendering engine that works well on Android and also works on other platforms like iOS, Windows, and Mac.
Rick is a co-founder of TheGameCreators. He manages the day-to-day scheduling of development work, liaises with the dev team, and manages the business’s accounts, amongst many other operational tasks and challenges.
Rick is the realist within the team, keeping expectations managed and projects on schedule. His current focus is producing AppGameKit Studio – our latest game development tool.
I guess the ones I use daily. My banking app for Nationwide here in the UK - it's simple and fast to use, Gmail for checking what's coming in while I'm out and about, TikTok for some quick entertainment and a game I have been playing for far too long Best Fiends!
We released it in 2018, so four years now.
It was a way to let users know about our PC, Mac, and Linux versions of our game development solutions.
We've made it really easy to code games with our special, easy-to-learn programming language. This is its main advantage, it lets you quickly have sprites flying around your phone or tablet in just a few lines of code.
The app is complete as it is. I think it would be good to add some new up-to-date demos to it later this year to show what's possible with it.
Just check it out and run the demos. It's free to download and use, so there's no downside!
About App:
AppGameKit is a powerful game development engine, ideal for Beginners, Hobbyists & Indie developers. Now you can code 'on the go' with AppGameKit Mobile, building apps demo and games wherever you are.
This FREE version of AppGameKit lets you code using the normal AppGameKit script language, and then compile and run your projects directly on your device. The app comes with demos, and examples to help new users discover how easy the programming language is to use.
You code your apps within a cut-down IDE and then, with the super fast compiler, you can run your projects almost instantly.
AppGameKit Mobile provides access to many of the commands of the desktop version. Most importantly, all the ones for game creation:
✔ 3D Graphics & 3D Physics
✔ 2D Graphics & 2D Physics
✔ AR Core Support
✔ Rendering Control
✔ Sound & Music
✔ User Input
✔ File I/O
✔ Sensors
Camera & Photo Access
You can import image media from your device and then use these images as sprites or textures in your apps.
Cloud Storage Coming Soon...
In the final release version, we'll be adding the ability to sync your projects to the cloud. You can then share your projects between devices if you own the desktop version of AppGameKit.
