Antaa – Wish List For Everyone - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes. Our two co-founders met while working together at Google, and we decided to work on an app together using the technology we helped develop at Google.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The most challenging aspect was figuring out what exactly our users need. Gifting can be a very broad topic so naturally there's lots to cover. It took us many iterations and lots of feedback from our early users to get down to what our users love today.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

Babytime: It's a great app that helps parents keep track of their babies’ day-to-day activities. Babytime lets parents record feedings, diaper changes, sleep times and more, while also providing helpful tools to help with the logistics of daily life: reminders to wash bottles or pack the diaper bag.
7 Minute Workout: A very simple app that helps you start working out with minimal investment.

How long have you been working on this app?

2.5 years.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

It's always hard to buy gifts for the family. With many people all buying gifts for each other, we always end up with duplicate gifts or things we don't want. Antaa makes it easy for everyone in the family to do their holiday shopping with ease.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Last year we launched a price tracking feature and it has been a game changer. When something on your wish list goes on sale we'll send you an alert. It has saved me hundreds in the past year!

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We are always looking for feedback from our users, we are working on addressing some of the top requests and continue to improve the usability.
